By Air

There are regular flights from Entebbe International Airport to Pakuba Airstrip and Chobe Airstrip near the park. From the airstrip, it’s a short drive to the park’s main attractions.

By Road

Murchison Falls National Park is approximately 5-6 hours drive from Entebbe or Kampala. The drive takes you through scenic Ugandan countryside, and the journey is relatively straightforward on paved roads. The park’s main entrance is through the Kichumbanyobo Gate on the southern side.

June to September (Dry Season) – Ideal for game drives and boat safaris as the wildlife gathers around water sources, and the roads are more accessible.

December to February (Dry Season) – Another great period for wildlife viewing, with less rainfall and plenty of sunshine.

March to May (Wet Season) – While it’s the rainy season, this is also the best time for birdwatching as migratory species arrive in the park. The park is quieter, offering a more serene experience.
