Game Drives
Explore Queen Elizabeth’s vast savannas and rolling hills with guided game drives. By Air

The nearest airport to Queen Elizabeth National Park is Kilimanjaro International Airport (Tanzania), which is about 6–7 hours away by road. Alternatively, you can fly to Entebbe International Airport (Uganda), and then take a domestic flight to Mweya Airstrip or Kihihi Airstrip, both of which are near the park.

By Road

Queen Elizabeth National Park is accessible by road from Entebbe or Kampala. The park is about a 7-9 hour drive from Entebbe, depending on the route. From Kampala, you can head towards Mbarara and then take the Kasese Road to reach the park. The journey is scenic, passing through beautiful landscapes and local villages.

June to September (Dry Season) – The best time for wildlife viewing, as the animals gather around water sources and the roads are more accessible.

December to February (Dry Season) – Also a great time for safaris, as the weather is dry and ideal for outdoor activities.

March to May (Wet Season) – While it’s the rainy season, this is also the best time for birdwatching, with many migratory species arriving in the park. The park is less crowded, making it a good option for a peaceful safari.
