June to October – Prime Safari Season

This is the dry season, making it the best time for wildlife viewing across Kenya’s top parks:

• Masai Mara

• Amboseli

• Tsavo East and West

• Samburu

• Laikipia Conservancies

Animals gather around waterholes, making them easier to spot. July to October is also when the Great Wildebeest Migration happens in the Masai Mara.

 December to March – Excellent Wildlife & Beach Weather

This is another great time for safaris, especially in southern Kenya parks. The weather is sunny and warm, ideal for combining beach holidays and game drives.

• January and February are especially good for predator action—cheetahs, lions, and leopards are active.

• Great time for Diani, Watamu, Malindi, and Lamu beach holidays.

Highlights: Baby animals, birdwatching, snorkeling, dolphin tours
Best for: Family safaris, beach and bush combos, honeymooners

April to May – Green Season (Low Travel Season)

These are the wettest months, especially in western and central Kenya. Some lodges close during this period, and dirt roads may be impassable in certain parks.

November – Short Rains with Wildlife Action

Although November has brief afternoon showers, it’s still possible to enjoy wildlife safaris. The scenery is green, and many parks remain accessible.
