8 Days Samburu, Olpejeta, Masai Mara Safari

Day 1: Nairobi Kenya-Aberdare National Park

Pick up from your hotel or airport in the morning and depart for Aberdare arriving at The Ark hotel in Nyeri.
Have lunch after a short game drive around the hotel.

The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge.

Dinner and overnight at The Ark hotel or similar

Day 2: Aberdare-Samburu Game Reserve

Early breakfast at your hotel, then a short game drive.

Leave Aberdare for Samburu, arrive in time for lunch and check in at the lodge or camp. Have lunch and relax.

Later in the afternoon, game drive across the park which has unique resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Gravy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve

Early morning game drive, return back to the camp for breakfast.

After breakfast, full day game drive in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents.

Meals and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 4: Samburu-Ol pejeta (Sweetwaters)

Early morning breakfast, leave Samburu for Sweetwater, game drive en-route.

Arrive in time for lunch and check in at Sweet Waters Luxury Tented Camp. Here is the Sweetwaters Chimp Sanctuary, incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which is the only sanctuary for rehabilitation in Kenya of chimpanzees.

These two groups of chimpanzees are living in an environment as close to their natural habitat as possible. The site is also a dedicated black rhino breeding area. Afternoon game drive across the park.

Later return for dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 5: Ol pejeta-Lake Nakuru National Park

Early morning breakfast, leave Sweet Water for Lake Nakuru, game drive en-route.

Arrive in time for lunch and check in at the lodge or camp of your choice. Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to its masses of Flamingoes (not common nowadays). It is also the habitat of the famous white Rhino and black rhino.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara 

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast, leave Lake Nakuru for Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch.

Check in at the lodge or camp of your choice and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp of your choice.

Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, full day in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodile with a visit to Mara river.

Day 8: Masai Mara-Nairobi Hotel or Airport

Early morning game drive.

Return back to the lodge for breakfast. Check out of the Lodge and Drive to Nairobi arriving Late afternoon.

Lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant or Narok. Afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or the airport.
